Nursed by Halimah
As was the custom, the Prophet ﷺ was sent to the desert to be nursed by Halimah as-Sa'diyah from the Banu Sa'd tribe. He stayed with her for about 4 years.
Splitting of the Chest
Two angels came to the young Prophet ﷺ, opened his chest, took out his heart, purified it, and returned it. This was the first spiritual preparation for Prophethood.
Mother's Death
Aminah, the Prophet's mother, died when he was 6 years old. He became a complete orphan, under the care of his grandfather Abdul-Muttalib.
Under Grandfather's Care
Abdul-Muttalib took care of the orphan Prophet ﷺ with great love. When Abdul-Muttalib died, the Prophet was 8 years old.
Under Uncle's Care
After his grandfather's death, the Prophet ﷺ came under the care of his uncle Abu Talib, who protected him for over 40 years.
