Shepherd in His Youth

The Prophet ﷺ worked as a shepherd for the people of Makkah, tending their flocks for small wages. This taught him patience and responsibility.

At age 12, the Prophet ﷺ traveled to Syria with his uncle Abu Talib. A monk named Bahira recognized signs of Prophethood in him.

The Prophet ﷺ became known as As-Sadiq (the Truthful) and Al-Amin (the Trustworthy). All of Makkah trusted him with their valuables.
